Pages as PNG when type has to stay sharp
JPEG smears small type and flat UI. PNG keeps edges. Use this when the PDF is a screenshot, a diagram, or a slide with text you still need to read.
The file is larger than JPEG. Scans and photo-like pages belong on PDF to JPG.
How to convert a PDF to PNG
- Drop one PDF, up to 20 MB.
- All pages, or a range. Screen (150 dpi) is enough for most screenshots. Print (300) if the type is tiny.
- Convert. One page is a PNG. Several pages come as a ZIP.
- Delete when you have the files. They are deleted within 1 hour.
PNG is lossless here
There is no quality slider. The page is drawn, then saved as PNG. Password PDFs are rejected.
40 pages per job. To go the other way, photos into a PDF, use Images to PDF.
Questions
Will the PNG be huge?
Often, yes. That is the trade for sharp type. Use PDF to JPG if size matters more.
Does transparency survive?
PDF pages are usually opaque. You get a full rectangle, typically with a white background.
Can I pick one page?
Set from and to to the same number, or tap that page tile on a short file.
OCR / copy the text?
No. The PNG is a picture of the page.
Password?
We cannot open it.
How long do you keep the files?
The PDF and the PNGs are deleted within 1 hour, or immediately if you press delete now.
