What this compressor does
Drop a JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, or AVIF and we shrink the file on the server. You pick a quality slider or a size in KB. HEIC becomes JPEG unless you pick another format. AVIF stays AVIF on the slider. On a KB target it stays AVIF when the file already fits, and becomes JPEG when it has to shrink. A PNG drops colors and stays PNG.

How to compress an image
- Drop up to 10 photos, or choose files. iPhone HEIC is decoded here and saved as JPEG unless you pick another format. AVIF stays AVIF unless a KB target has to shrink it.
- On a JPG or WebP, leave the quality slider if you just want it smaller. A PNG drops colors on its own. Switch to a KB target when a portal publishes a number.
- Compress over HTTPS. Download the result, or a ZIP if you sent several files.
- Original and result are deleted automatically after 24 hours.
Formats, quality, and limits
JPG is usually the smallest for photos. A PNG drops colors and stays PNG. A camera photo often shrinks more as JPG or WebP.
Each file can be 20 MB. An image over 32 megapixels is refused when you add it. If a KB target cannot be met, you still get the smallest file we can make, with a note on the result.
Questions
Will the photo look worse?
On a JPG or WebP, lower quality removes detail. A PNG drops colors, and the preview stays the original, so check the download. If the PNG looks rough, save it as JPG or WebP, or raise the KB cap.
Can I compress without changing the format?
JPG stays JPG, PNG stays PNG, and WebP stays WebP. AVIF stays AVIF on the quality slider. A KB target keeps an AVIF that already fits, and saves JPEG when that file has to shrink.
Why is PNG still large?
A palette PNG can still be heavy when the picture is a photo. Use JPG or WebP when you do not need transparency.
Do you keep EXIF?
Compression does not promise a metadata wipe. Use Remove EXIF when GPS or camera tags must go.
Is there a watermark or account?
No watermark, no ads on the page, no account. Processing runs on our server over HTTPS.
How long do you keep the file?
Original and result are deleted automatically after 24 hours.
