PNG to JPEG, with a solid background
JPEG has no transparency. Transparent pixels become the background color you pick: white by default, black if you need it.
Use this when a form, Word file, or printer driver rejects PNG. Stay on PNG if you still need transparency in the image.
How to convert PNG to JPG
- Drop PNG files. Photos that are already JPEG belong on Compress JPG.
- Pick white or black for the former transparent pixels.
- Convert on the server. Download JPEG.
- Delete when you have the files. The PNG original is deleted within 1 hour too.
What this page will not do
Edges that were anti-aliased on glass will pick up a halo on a mismatched fill. White fill on a white page is the usual case.
The JPEG can then go through Compress JPG or Compress to 100 KB if the portal also names a size.

Will text in a screenshot stay sharp?
JPEG blurs high-contrast text a little. Screenshots that must stay crisp should stay PNG or become WebP.
