SVG to pixels, 144 DPI
Slack, Instagram, and most upload libraries refuse SVG. We rasterize at 144 DPI so a 100×100 viewBox is not a 72 px stamp.
Scripts in the SVG are not run. External images are not fetched. Magick is blocked on the server.
How to convert SVG to PNG
- Drop .svg files.
- Convert. Transparency is kept.
- Download PNG.
- Delete when you have the files.
What this page will not do
The PNG does not scale like the SVG. Need JPEG instead? Convert to JPG puts it on a solid fill.
Fonts that are not on the server use the server default. DejaVu is installed in production.
Questions
Can I pick 1x / 2x / 3x?
Not yet. 144 DPI is the render. Resize after on Resize image if you need a different pixel box.
JPEG?
Use Convert to JPG. This page keeps transparency.
PNG to SVG?
No. That is tracing. This page does not do that.
Can I convert several files at once?
Up to 10, 20 MB each.
Broken SVG?
We reject files we cannot rasterize. Check the XML.
How long do you keep the files?
Originals and PNGs are deleted within 1 hour, or immediately if you press delete now.
