How to convert AVIF to PNG
- Drop .avif files.
- Convert on the server. Download PNG, or a ZIP of several.
- If the PNG is huge, PNG to JPG or PNG to WebP is usually smaller.
- Delete when you have the files. They are deleted within 1 hour.
PNG can get large
A camera photo as PNG stays heavy. Use PNG when you still need transparency in the image.
Graphics and screenshots compress well as PNG; photos usually should not stay PNG.
