Why the signature portal wants a PDF, not a photo folder
DocuSign-style requests, many Workday document steps, and notary e-sign flows attach a PDF to the envelope. The upload field rarely accepts a zip of JPEGs or a single PNG of a whole stack.
Building one PDF of the scans is the preparation step. Tinolia does not place a cryptographic signature for you; it writes the file the portal will ask you to sign or attach.
Outlook may carry the same PDF afterward, but the first failure is usually the portal picker, not the mailbox.
Any photo or scan into one PDF
Images to PDF takes JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, and HEIC mixed in one drop. Up to 10 images, 20 MB each. Pick A4 or US Letter for a document feel, or image size when you need the page as large as the pixels.
Choose one combined PDF for the portal. Transparent pixels become white on the page. Reorder the list so the cover or ID front comes first.
Very large photos are reduced to the engine megapixel cap before they become a page, so a huge phone still does not break the job.
- Drop the photos and scans on Images to PDF in the order the portal expects.
- Select A4 or Letter for most signature packets, and keep combine on for one file.
- Create the PDF and download it.
- Upload that file to the e-sign or notary request.
JPEG-only packs and PDFs you already have
If every file is already a .jpg, JPG to PDF is the same job with a JPEG-only dropzone. Mixed formats stay on Images to PDF. Stick to one tool for the whole packet so page size stays consistent.
When each scan was already saved as its own PDF, join them with Merge PDF instead of rasterizing again. Bank-statement merges for a loan are a different checklist: merge statements for loan. Name the download something the portal will recognize, not scan001.pdf.
iPhone HEIC rolls are a sibling path
A pure iPhone camera-roll set that Windows opens blank as PDF belongs on iPhone to PDF with HEIC to PDF. Stay here when the packet is mixed photos, Android scans, desktop screenshots, or any images destined for a signature portal.
Heavy packets and Outlook caps
A multi-page scan PDF can still miss an Outlook or portal size limit. Compress photos before you build the PDF, or shrink the finished file afterward if the envelope rejects the weight.
This page does not fill form fields and does not apply a digital certificate. After the PDF exists, complete signing inside the portal that issued the request.
Keep a copy of the source images until the envelope shows signed; some portals ask for one page again after a reject.

Why does DocuSign or my e-sign portal reject my photos?
Those uploads usually expect a PDF attachment. Separate JPEGs or a zip of scans often fail until you build one PDF.
Does Tinolia digitally sign the PDF for me?
