Discord sticker size requirements
Server Settings refuses the sticker until it is exactly 320×320 and under 512 KB. Tinolia resizes the image and can compress it toward 500 KB for that upload, and files are deleted within 1 hour.

What Discord checks when you upload a sticker
Custom stickers live under Server Settings, Stickers. Discord's creator guidance asks for an exact 320×320 pixel image and a file no larger than 512 KB. Static stickers use PNG; animated stickers use APNG (and Discord's blog also mentions GIF for animated uploads).
Chat often shows stickers around 160×160, which is why Discord wants a 320×320 source: it keeps the art sharp on common displays. A 512×512 export from your tablet still fails until the frame is exactly 320.
You will also pick a related emoji and may add a short description for screen readers. Those fields do not replace the pixel and KB rules.
Resize to 320×320 before you fight the KB meter
Resize image can set both sides to 320 so the upload stops complaining about dimensions. Crop first when the art sits in a tall or wide canvas; Discord does not letterbox a wrong aspect ratio for you.
Up to 10 files, 20 MB each. Files are deleted within 1 hour. Get the pixel box right, then weigh the file.
- Crop the sticker art to a square if it is not already.
- On Resize image, set width and height to 320 pixels.
- Download the 320×320 PNG (or keep PNG if that is already your export).
- If Server Settings still rejects the size in KB, continue to compress.
Compress under 512 KB without leaving Discord's cap
Discord's maximum is 512 KB. Compress to 500 KB aims near 500 KB, which stays under that ceiling for the static PNG path Tinolia covers.
Watch the download extension. If the tool cannot fit about 500 KB as PNG, it may hand back a JPEG instead. Discord static Stickers reject JPG. Clean the art, flatten layers, and compress again until you still have a PNG at or under 512 KB.
Heavy photo textures and noisy backgrounds eat the budget fast. Flatten unused layers in your editor before the last compress if 500 KB still fails.
Static PNG path versus animated stickers

Do not convert a sticker to JPG for the Stickers page. Static uploads expect PNG. PNG to JPG is the wrong finish for this field; keep PNG after resize and compress.
Selling packs and listing photos are different jobs
Shipping a sticker sheet to Etsy buyers or a Facebook Marketplace listing uses marketplace crop rules, not Discord's 320 box: listing photo size.
A resume or document headshot has its own pixel habits: resume photo size. Come back here only when Server Settings, Stickers is the screen that rejected the file.
